Food for Fines
Are you late with a book or movie? In March and April we ask that you bring nonperishable food items instead of putting money in the “Conscience Box” for overdue library materials. All food will be donated to the food pantry at the Limington Congregational Church. They are eligible for special grant which will give them $1 for every food item they collect. This can help our local food pantry considerably. Even if you don't have a late book you can drop off food items to help our community food pantry's efforts. (Please visit our newsletter page for further details.)
Friends of Davis Memorial Library Meeting Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7 p.m. here at the library.
Please contact the library and we will be happy to pass along any messages or inquiries.
Storytime at the Library has a Modified Schedule Through May
We will host a simple preschool age storytime the second and fourth Thursday morning in March, April and May at 10:15 a.m. We do not meet on scheduled public school holidays. Please join us!
Bad Weather Closing Statement
We want to remind you all that we generally follow SAD 6 school district closings. An exception might be a storm that gets over in the late morning. If the roads and our parking lot are clear, we might open. Conversely, a storm late in the day might make us close early. In bad weather conditions, a call to the library before you head out is always a good idea. Books are never overdue if we are closed for weather that day. Also, if you need to return books when the library is closed we have a book return box that has separate slots for library books and audio visual materials that include movies.
